Subtle sophistication. Wintan® Hydra is a leather fibre or Lefa leather produced from natural tannery waste (PIW). Visually, haptically and olfactorily, it can hardly be distinguished from the original, but is far less sensitive than natural leather. 

Wintan® Hydra is part of our constantly growing Winter Wrup-Cycling range. It includes a wide selection of cover materials in which we minimise or even eliminate the use of new resources, thus contributing to a sustainable circular economy. It is also REACH-compliant and produced in accordance with the OEKO-TEX® Grade II Leather Standard.

Wintan® Hydra is particularly ideal for robust book covers, luxury packaging, stationery items and hang tags, as it has an exceptional thickness of 0.75 mm. The material is produced in rolls and can be cut to size. Our customers print it using screen printing and finish it using hot foil stamping.
